---> Use Gang Show to your advantage!

Melbourne Gang Show is the performing arts training arm of the Girl Guide and Scout Associations in Victoria. Hundreds of Guides and Scouts benefit from the training provided by Gang Show, thousands of others enjoy the performances. Gang Show is a small part of the overall youth program but offers unique experiences and training opportunities in an exciting environment.

Melbourne Gang Show develops confidence, teamwork, self-discipline, personal organisation and lots more. It offers an outlet for the creativity of youth members and provides a tremendous public showcase for Guiding and Scouting.

Both Guides and Scouts can use Gang Show as part of their training in the performing arts and put the skills they learn towards their involvement in the Australian Guide Program and the Scout, Venturer and Rover Award Schemes. Guides and Scouts can also use Gang Show to fulfil the requirements of the Skills component of the Bronze, Silver or Gold levels of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Girl Guides
Girl Guides can use Gang Show as part of a number of badges including The Arts Create-a-Challenge and The Arts Achieve-a-Challenge Badges. Girls 14 years and older can use Gang Show as part of the Arts Focus either on its own or as part of their Queen's Guide Award.
As with all badges, girls should discuss their challenge and plans with their peer unit prior to beginning the badge and also discuss their intentions with the Girl Guide representative at Gang Show and the Queen's Guide Coordinator if undertaking The Arts Focus.

Scouts
Scouts can use Gang Show for either their ‘Entertainers’ or ‘Performing Arts ‘ badges. Certificates will be issued detailing areas of the award achieved.
The front page of a Scout’s record book should be filled in prior to it being presented for signing.

Venturers
Venturers can use Gang Show for Expressions I or Expressions II (if they want to experience the technical side of Gang Show in addition to being on stage) or Pursuits I & II (uncommon, but easily pursued through the technical side of the show. Ensure the Unit Council is approached before using Gang Show for Pursuits).
